This Privacy Policy explains how the ForgeLift app (“ForgeLift,” “the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by John Santia, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the app and related services. By using ForgeLift, you agree to the practices described here.
ForgeLift is a strength-training and workout-logging app that also generates personalized training programs using artificial intelligence. ForgeLift provides fitness and educational information only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials, managed through our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this to sign you in and secure your account.
Profile and body metrics. To personalize your training, you may provide information such as your training goals, experience level, body weight, height, and other physical or biomechanical inputs. You choose what to enter; some features (including AI program generation) work better or require this information.
Workout and training data. We store the programs you generate or follow, the workouts you log (exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest times), your training history, and computed performance metrics (such as estimated one-rep maxes and progression state).
Purchase information. If you subscribe to ForgeLift PRO, subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through our subscriptions provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription and entitlement status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — Apple handles payment.
Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you use the app (screens viewed, features used, events, and approximate session activity) through our analytics provider (PostHog) to understand usage and improve the app.
Diagnostics and crash data. We collect crash reports and technical diagnostics through our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) to detect and fix problems.
Device and technical information. We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, language, and similar technical identifiers needed to operate and troubleshoot the app.
ForgeLift’s program generator uses a third-party artificial intelligence service, the Claude API provided by Anthropic, PBC (“Anthropic”), to create personalized training programs.
What is shared. When you request an AI-generated program, the information needed to personalize it — such as your training goals, experience level, body metrics (e.g., height, weight), and selected training style — is sent to Anthropic to produce your program. Your name, email address, and account credentials are not sent to Anthropic.
How it is sent. Requests to the AI service are routed exclusively through our secure server. The app does not contact the AI provider directly, and our AI provider’s credentials are never stored on your device.
Your consent. Before any personal data is sent to the AI service for the first time, ForgeLift asks for your explicit consent and identifies the provider (Anthropic) and the categories of data shared. You can decline, and you can revoke this consent at any time in the app’s Settings — after which AI generation will be unavailable until you consent again.
Anthropic processes this data to return a generated program and according to its own terms. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information for third-party advertising.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: performance of a contract (to provide the app and your account), consent (for AI processing of your personal data, and where otherwise required), legitimate interests (to secure, analyze, and improve the app), and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Specifically, you can:
Residents of Canada (PIPEDA), the EEA/UK (GDPR), and California (CCPA/CPRA), among others, have specific statutory rights; we honor verified requests as required by applicable law. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
ForgeLift is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
ForgeLift provides fitness and educational information and AI-generated training suggestions. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise program.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of ForgeLift after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
